A Brief Introduction to Scientology

Introduction

This section takes a look at Scientology (CoS) only in regard to healthcare.

For general information and background on Scientology I recommend the following resources:

Scientology concerns itself with mental health issues, campaigning against evidence-based approaches to psychiatry and psychology mostly through its front groups CCHR and Youth For Human Rights.

It campaigns against recreational drug use and prescription drug abuse via A Drug Free World, which also refers addicts to Scientology's Narconon program provided by Get Off Drugs Naturally.

A few scientologists are connected to or support Jim Humble's dangerous MMS treatment; a long-term Sydney scientologist runs the Sydney chapter of the Genesis II Church.

A significant number of Australian scientologists support the anti-vaccination movement and, in particular, the movie Vaxxed.
